NOTE: Most residents in South San Francisco receive water service from California Water Service Co, Bayshore District, with the exception of those who have water services from Westborough Water District. Please note, this information is specific for Cal Water customers.
California Water Service customers: Learn about the future of South San Francisco’s water supply by attending a virtual Urban Water Management Plan meeting on June 7 at 5 p.m. Representatives from Cal Water will also be available to answer questions from customers regarding sources of supply, demand forecasts, and conservation.
2020 Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan Review
As a defined urban water supplier, Cal Water is preparing an update to its Urban Water Management Plans (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plans (WSCP) that will address the water service conditions in our service areas. It is Cal Water’s intent to adopt the UWMP, and the incorporated WSCP, and file these plans as required. Public review drafts of the UWMP and WSCP for each Cal Water service area and information on each public meeting will be added below as they become available.
Public comments on these draft documents should be emailed to PlanningInfo@calwater.com.

High-efficiency toilet rebate (MaP Premium Models)
Amount: $100

In addition to meeting the rigorous performance standards of WaterSense labeled toilets, MaP premium toilets must use 1.06 gallons per flush or less and meet a minimum MaP threshold of 600 grams of waste removed from the toilet fixture in a single flush.
High-efficiency clothes washer rebate

Cal Water’s Bayshore District was formed in 1931 with the purchase of the South San Francisco Water Company, the San Carlos Water Company, and the San Mateo water system from Pacific Water Company. We proactively maintain and upgrade our facilities to ensure a reliable, high-quality supply.
Water for our customers is purchased from the City and County of San Francisco (SFPUC), and additional water was provided by five groundwater wells. Our South San Francisco system includes 144 miles of pipeline, 12 storage tanks, one collecting tank, and 21 booster pumps.
