Everything South City Eats and Cooks with Chef Ava Marie Has a Restaurant Review of the Month —And Drum Roll Please……

Dominic’s Caters Out

I had a wonderful early dinner on Sunday, Mother’s day, courtesy of Dominic’s Caters Out and they are a high end catering company. Think Dominic’s At Oyster Point – and then you realize you’re on South Maple Avenue near Canal Street – they are a family owned and in business for over 35 years.

Wow, who remembers the Chefs Warehouse? It was like a Williams Sonoma, locally owned and a great place but they closed so I now shop at Target, Amazon and Williams Sonoma for cooking tools. Sometimes Walmart and Michaels crafts too.

But let me review the quality of the food.

Appetizer- Crab Cakes with Lemon Aioli YUM!
Each order is individually packaged

Butter lettuce, radicchio, fresh raspberries, Gorgonzola cheese and raspberry vinaigrette – Fresh and Crisp!

The Filet Migon is too die for made with a mushroom sauce and it was melt in your mouth like butter!

Then I tried the creamed spinach –  it tastes like my creamed spinach –  they got to down to a science!

Main entree:
Filet Mignon, Charbroiled Salmon, Mashed Potatoes, Creamed Spinach

My mother said she loved the Salmon and my Grandma loves it too, we all enjoyed Mother’s Day together. Dinner also included mashed potatoes, dinner rolls and butter.

And the dessert was Strawberry Tiramisu -made with my favorite strawberries and it reminded me of a strawberry shortcake somewhat, it was delicious.

Strawberry Tiramisu for dessert!

So, if you need a little break from your cooking they have a Prime Rib special later this month and its very reasonable priced.  We had to thank our friends at Everything South City for their recommendation.

You can enjoy Dominic’s food in several ways – they now are offering full catering at Dominic’s at Oyster Point at the Yacht Club {650-589-1096} and at the South San Francisco Conference Center {650-877-5203}. In addition, their food truck is at both of those locations, as well as Off the Grid in Serramonte, and you can follow them on their social media or on Everything South City to see what the Food Truck daily specials are.  HERE is the link for this week’s Food Truck specials, plus times and locations –  You can also contact Dominic’s at [email protected]
