Returning for the 48th year is South San Francisco’s annual Thanksgiving Fun Run. This fun event is a great opportunity for community members of all ages to stay active. Whether you are looking for some challenging competition, an excuse for an enjoyable family stroll along the beautiful Bay Trail, or a route convenient to your location, this race is for you! This year participants will have the opportunity to compete in person or virtually, allowing runners/walkers to compete regardless of where they live!
Community members participating in person can join the Parks and Recreation Department on Saturday, November 13, 2021 on the Genentech Campus for a 9:00 a.m. race start time. In person participants will be rewarded prizes for top finishers in each age group. Virtual participants can submit their times but will not be included in the chance to win prizes. All participants can also purchase a Thanksgiving Fun Run shirt at an additional cost. Pre-registration is highly encouraged at www.ssf.net/rec-catalog.
- Seasoned Turkeys (18 years and up) – $10.00
- Featherweights (13 – 17 years of age) – $6.00
- Little Gobblers (12 and under): FREE
- Shirts: $18.00 (Shirts will not be available for purchase the day of the event)
