Julio Venturini entered into rest peacefully on December 31, 2021 at 91 years of age. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Darlene in 2014. Julio was born in Massa Carrara, Italy to the late Adelino & Clementina. He emigrated to the United States in 1949 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957. Julio was a proud, longtime resident of South San Francisco where he took pride in his vegetable garden. He was an avid golfer and member of the Sharp Park Golf Course.
Julio is survived by his loving daughters, Sandy (Rod) Schaffer, Susan (Bart) Buchanan. He was an adoring Nonno to his grandchildren Matthew (Brielle) Schaffer, Michelle (Richard) Wisnewski, Amanda and Bradley Buchanan and Bisnonno to Addison & Easton Wisnewski and Camden Schaffer, all who will miss him dearly. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit between 5-6:00 pm on January 6th at Garden Chapel with a Vigil starting at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 7th at 11:00 am at St Veronica Church, 434 Alida Way, South San Francisco. Committal to follow at the Italian Cemetery.
