On 01/23/2022, at 6:00 AM, South San Francisco Police Officers responded to the area of South Airport Boulevard and Wondercolor Lane to conduct a welfare check on a 22-year-old female who was reported to have been physically assaulted by a male who was armed with a firearm. Officers found the victim at a nearby business located on the 300 block of South Airport Boulevard.
Officers located the suspect vehicle nearby. The vehicle was occupied by a 33-year-old San Francisco male resident and an 18-year-old Stockton female resident. Both suspects initially refused to comply with officers’ orders to exit the vehicle. After a brief period, both suspects exited the vehicle and were taken into custody.
A records check on the male revealed he was on Post Release Community Supervision out of San Francisco County for Pandering.
Through a subsequent investigation, officers learned the victim had been kidnapped in Oakland at gunpoint and forced into the suspects’ vehicle on 01/23/2022. The victim was driven to South San Francisco, where the suspects physically assaulted her. The victim was forced to prostitute herself in San Francisco and Oakland before returning to South San Francisco, where she was being held against her will at a local hotel. The victim eventually escaped her captors and called for help.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the San Mateo County Jail in Redwood City.
Victim advocates from the San Mateo County Human Trafficking Initiative were contacted and provided services to the victim, who was reunited with her family.
