Martin teacher Deborah Carlino was awarded the first “Barbara Henry Teacher of the Year” award this morning for her efforts to honor Ruby Bridges. Henry, who turned 90-years-old yesterday, was Bridges’ teacher and said, “There is no profession in the world better than teaching.”
