May 6th – ARREST FOR DUI, HIT AND RUN, CHILD ENDANGERMENT, RESISTING ARREST, BATTERY ON A POLICE OFFICER AND CRIMINAL THREATS – Last night, Officers responded to the 100 block of Camaritas Avenue on a report of a collision into a parked vehicle. The driver, 22 year old female San Francisco resident, fled from the scene of the collision and was apprehended a short distance away with two small children (two year old and a three year old). The driver was extremely intoxicated and was found to have been transporting the children without proper child restraints. Also in the vehicle was the driver’s passenger, 29 year old female San Francisco resident, who was also extremely intoxicated. The driver made several threats to harm the Officers and scratched one of the Officers. The driver was placed under arrest for several charges but due to the driver’s injuries she was released to a local hospital. The passenger was placed under arrest for being drunk in public. Thankfully the children did not sustain any injuries. The South San Francsico Police Departments reminds everyone to be responsible and not drink or drive.
