Blue Line Transfer is hiring!

We are seeking a Materials Recovery Facility Floor Supervisor.
Responsibilities:

• Supervise sorters to ensure productivity in floor sort operation
• Supervise spotters/load checkers to ensure proper charges are added for special handling items and that customers are directed to appropriate areas
• Direct sorters to different work areas as needed (C&D sorting, recycling sorting, buyback staffing)
• Direct yellow iron operators to different tasks and equipment as needed
• Learn transfer operations and back up General Manager and Operations Manager as needed to dispatch daily disposal and diversion loads
• Learn basic operation of sorting system belts and modes: start and stop, fault / E-stop diagnosis
• Assist with public customer questions and concerns
• Take direction from MRF General Manager and MRF Operations Manager and disseminate information to lead sorters, sorters, operators, and transfer drivers in order to complete daily tasks
• Understand general material flow and pile management
• Communicate daily with MRF General Manager and MRF Operations Manager
• Communicate as needed with mechanics about equipment or facility issues
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to learn on the job
• Communicate clearly with others
• Speaking Spanish a plus, but not required
• Previous MRF experience a plus, but not required
• Know how to use email, know how to perform some data entry in MS Excel

Hours: Mon – Fri; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Overtime opportunities available
