The sideshow consisted of approximately 200 spectators and approximately 150 vehicles. Arriving officers had large fireworks thrown/shot at their vehicles and high-powered lasers were directed at their eyes. Additional assistance was requested from surrounding law enforcement agencies and the area was cleared in approximately 30 minutes.
A 27 year old male from El Sobrante was contacted on the 100 block of Gateway Boulevard as the sideshow was breaking up. He was found to be in possession of a loaded and unregistered Glock 19 handgun. A records check revealed the male was a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. COMMERCIAL BURGLARY ARREST – Early this morning while our officers were handling another call for service, they observed two males drive a vehicle into the fenced in parking lot of a closed building. Officers then observed the subjects drive their vehicle into the building via a large roll-up door and secure the door behind them. The responsible for the building was contacted and they advised no one had permission to be in the building and added they had been the victim of a burglary three days earlier.
Our officers quickly surrounded the building and made entry with the assistance of K-9 Ace. K-9 announcements were given and both subjects ultimately surrendered without incident.
The investigation revealed the subjects were responsible for the burglary at this location three days prior and had returned to steal more items. Both of the males were arrested for Commercial Burglary and Conspiracy and were transported to the San Mateo County Jail.
Way to be alert Graveyard! Keep working hard out there! Thank you for the assist on this one K-9 Ace!
