201 -219 GRAND AVENUE (ROEM Developments)
There are daily material deliveries scheduled, and additional truck traffic is expected. The contractor will maintain access to Cypress Avenue between 3rd Lane and Grand Avenue. The traffic flaggers will assist the truck driver’s delivery of materials. The sidewalks across the project frontage on Grand Avenue will remain open. The sidewalk along Cypress Avenue directly in front of the project is closed, and detour signs have been posted, guiding pedestrians to a safe path of travel.
418 LINDEN AVENUE (ROEM Developments)
Daily material deliveries are scheduled, and additional truck traffic is expected. The contractor will maintain access to Linden Avenue and Lux Avenue. The traffic flaggers will assist the truck driver’s access to the site. Drivers can expect minor delays. The sidewalk on Linden Avenue and Lux Avenue is closed. The contractor posted detour signs to guide pedestrians to a safe path of travel. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions.
751 GATEWAY BOULEVARD
Sidewalk, curb, and gutter work continues through September. Due to the nature of the work, the contractor will close pedestrian access to Gateway Boulevard along the project frontage. The sidewalk on the opposite side of the street will remain open. The contractor will post detour signs to guide pedestrians to a safe path of travel.

 

In addition, grind and overlay work is scheduled on Monday, September 12, and Tuesday, September 13 along southbound Gateway Boulevard along project frontage. Work will occur from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a single southbound lane will be closed to allow work to proceed. Drivers can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions.

CADENCE PHASE II (405 Cypress Ave; 204, 208, 214, 216 Miller Avenue)
Utility work continues along the two frontages of the project: Miller Avenue and Tamarack Lane. Work will be phased to minimize impacts:

 

1.   Miller Avenue: Work will occur between Monday, September 12, and Friday, September 16, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Work will result in a lane shift between Cypress Avenue and Linden Avenue as work is underway. Traffic flaggers will be deployed to help manage traffic and maintain travel in eastbound and westbound directions along Miller Avenue.

 

2.   Tamarack Lane: Work will occur between Monday, September 19, and Friday, September 23, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Work will result in the closure of Tamarack Lane between Cypress Avenue and Linden Avenue. Access to local traffic will be maintained throughout construction.

 

Detour signage will be deployed for vehicular traffic. Sidewalks across the project will remain open for pedestrian use. Commuters can expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes. Please always follow the signs and safety personnel instructions.

CALTRAIN ACCESS & BAY TRAIL GAP CLOSURE PROJECT
Work continues along E. Grand Avenue at the Grand Avenue intersection that will include the following improvements:

  • A pedestrian path along the frontage of the Comfort Inn
  • Removal of the existing double right turn slip lane and median
  • Extending the curb at the corner and relocating the traffic signal
  • Striping changes to accommodate bike lanes along E. Grand to Gateway Boulevard.

 

Work will result in lane shifts in eastbound and westbound directions along E. Grand Avenue. Commuters that utilize the US-101 E. Grand Ave offramp are encouraged to use alternate routes. The contractor will be closing the sidewalks as work is underway. Pedestrian detour signage has been posted noting a safe path of travel. Due to the nature of the work, traffic control measures will remain in place 24/7 until work is complete in October 2022.

CIVIC CAMPUS: LIBRARY, PARKS & RECREATION AND COMMUNITY THEATER/COUNCIL CHAMBERS (1010 El Camino Real)
Daily material deliveries are scheduled, resulting in additional truck traffic along Antoinette Lane and Chestnut Avenue between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Antoinette Lane sidewalk along the project frontage is closed. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the sidewalk across the street in front of the new Police Operations & 911 Dispatch Center. Detour signs are posted to guide pedestrians to a safe path of travel.
ORANGE MEMORIAL PARK SPORTS FIELDS PROJECT

Construction continues at the Orange Memorial Park Sports Field. Parking on Memorial Drive adjacent to the sports fields remains closed.

2022 WEST OF 101 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION
(Various Locations throughout South San Francisco)
The 2022 East Pavement Rehabilitation project is proceeding with the Concrete work followed by the Paving work in the Downtown area.

 

This work will result in street parking impacts and limited access during the work hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily. The contractor is distributing advance notification to residents impacted by the concrete work and the street rehabilitation work. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be placed on the streets noticing impacted sections.

 

Work Schedule:

 

Period of Sep 12 – Sept 16, 2022 (tentative)

Cap Seal & Slurry Seal Work (pavement surface treatment)

  • First Lane: Orange to Spruce
  • Second Lane: Chestnut to Orange
  • Third Lane: Orange to End
  • Fourth Lane: Orange to Spruce

 

Access for emergency vehicles and bus service will be maintained; however, minor delays or detours are expected for all other traffic.
