Joseph Frank Parkos, Jr entered into rest on November 13, 2022 in South San Francisco, CA, he was 80 years old. He was born on February 25,1942 in Rice Lake, WI to Myrtle and Joseph Parkos. Joe served in the US Navy from 1963-1967, and was a Vietnam Veteran. Joe was very knowledgeable on any topic and could fix just about anything. In his younger years, you could find him under the hood of a car, tending to the garden or up on the roof! He looked forward to watching Mollie B’s Polka Party on Saturday…he loved his Polka music! Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Thelma Parkos of South San Francisco, CA. Adoring father of Jill Parkos of San Mateo, CA and Jennifer Salvatore and her husband Louis Salvatore of South San Francisco, CA, Papa to Gavin Parkos, Miley Salvatore, and Matthew Salvatore, and Papa Joe to Nova Parkos and soon to arrive great grandson. Beloved brother of Jeannette Thomas, Sara Parkos, both of Two Rivers, WI, and Dennis Parkos of Mantiwoc, WI. He was preceded in death by sisters Betty Anschutz, Doris Gillis , Diane Frenz, Rosie Meissner, and brothers Stanley Parkos, Francis (Jimmy) Parkos, Donald Parkos, Eugene Parkos and Jerry Parkos.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Memorial service Tuesday, November 22nd at 10:00 a.m. held at the Garden Chapel at 885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco. Burial will take place at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA following the Memorial.
