On Sunday, January 29, 2023 Concha Sommers, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away at age 87.
Concha was born in San Francisco and was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Alex Ramirez.
Concha is survived by her daughters, Laura Proiette Gordillo (Jim son-in-law), Denise Sommers Kading and preceded in death by her son Jerry Sommers.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, preceded in death Shana Manlopig Ontai (Anthony son-in-law), Jason Sommers, Taylor Gordillo, Joshua and Elliott Kading.
Concha also was a Great Grandmother to her precious Lylah and Elijah Ontai.
Concha was beloved by many many friends and cousins. Her nephew Tommy Foakes was a big help watching over her for many years.
Concha lived and worked all of her life in the Bay. She worked at 16 Mile House in Millbrae for 20 years which we all loved to go see her there.
Actually she ate one of her last meals there in celebration of her 87th birthday.
Concha enjoyed dancing, cruising, lakes, beaches and many vacations with her daughters.
Services will be Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11am, followed by a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception to follow at Molloy’s
