AUTO vs. PEDESTRIAN HIT & RUN COLLISION – On February 9, 2023, at about 9:44 PM, South San Francisco Police Officers responded to the 1200 block of El Camino Real after civilians found a 71-year-old male laying in the roadway with major injuries. The investigation revealed the victim stopped his bicycle and was standing in the bicycle lane when he was struck from behind by a dark-colored vehicle traveling southbound. The suspect vehicle, possibly a green-colored sedan with a light-colored roof, fled the scene last seen southbound on El Camino Real.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was discovered to have suffered from major injuries. The victim is listed in critical but stable condition.

SUPER BOWL DUI/HIT-AND-RUN ARREST: Officers responded to a hit-and-run collision with injuries and located the suspect vehicle a short distance away. The driver, 35-year-old South San Francisco resident, was driving under the influence of alcohol and blew almost three times over the legal limit. The driver has a prior DUI conviction and his driver’s license was suspended for DUI. The driver was taken into custody and booked at the county jail. Please don’t drink and drive. Great job B side!!
