Live with Honor, Serve With Pride
That is more than a slogan for our South San Francisco Police Department, those words are transformed into action daily by the men and women who serve our community. And there are times members of our department are recognized for going above and beyond and we celebrate these occasions with them.
Last week, the Peninsula Council of Lions hosted its 58th Annual Police and Firefighter Awards Banquet recognizing first responders for service to their communities, acts of heroism, and valor with two of our own being honored.
Please join us in congratulating Sgt Sean Curmi and Officer Miguel Wong!
Sergeant Curmi continues to call South City his home after growing up here and attending local schools. And many neighbors will recognize Sergeant Sean Curmi from the outreach he offers our neighborhoods and our schools. He is known for his easygoing personality, his contagious smile, and his straightforward approach to helping those in need. His dedication to giving back to our community was recognized by the Peninsula Council of Lions when they presented him with the SERVICE AWARD.
Officer Miguel Wong was officially welcomed to our South San Francisco Police Department last June by Chief Scott Campbell during the formal ceremony held at South San Francisco High School {more HERE} and he has already received much-deserved accolades. The Peninsula Council of Lions presented Officer Wong with the Valor Award for his life-saving efforts in an incident that attributed to saving a life, by providing medical aid to a stabbing victim.
We are extremely proud of our Department and we thank Officer Wong and Sgt Curmi for bringing the best of our Dept to the Center Stage.
Martha Barrientos will have her 100th birthday April 27. Lives in SSF on 163 Pecks Lane
Congratulations to both officers and the entire PD!! Also, our Firefighters and all first responders! You make our community proud! Great Job!😊
