Promotes Eight Officers and Welcomes Six New Officers, Two Dispatchers, and One Technician to the Department
Ceremony Held at South San Francisco Conference Center

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., April 4, 2023 – Friends, family, and colleagues gathered at South San Francisco Conference Center recently to celebrate the hiring and promotions of 17 members of the South San Francisco Police Department.

“We celebrated the promotions and hiring of many, but we celebrate our entire department for their continued dedication and service to our City’s residents and visitors,” said South San Francisco Police Chief Scott Campbell. “In addition, it was my honor to swear in our first-ever female Lieutenant to the South San Francisco Police Department, Lieutenant Fahmida Murphy.”

Corporal Sean Evans
Corporal Adam Kerrigan
Police Property Evidence Specialist Nelson Primo

“I’m especially proud as we come off the heels of Women’s History Month in March that we have our very first female Lieutenant on the force. We have a lot of talent and experience that will set us up for the future to ensure the continued safety of our community and those that visit the City of South San Francisco,” said South San Francisco Mayor Flor Nicolas.
