DUTIES:
The Commission identifies areas to improve equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging in all areas of City processes and public safety and make recommendations.
The Commission provides a community space to discuss issues related to equity and safety.
The Commission can receive, refer, and at times review resident complaints about City personnel, providing an alternative channel to file a complaint and a safe space for community feedback.
The Commission reviews data and tracks progress using measures that are meaningful to the community.

MEETINGS:
This meeting is in-person only and will be conducted pursuant the rules required by the Brown Act. Please refer to the below for information on the Commission’s regularly scheduled meetings:

here we go again with equity. equity. equity. inclusion diversity nonsense ! what does that have to do with public safety ? maybe I am a little dim . explain in plain English please.
