Food Distribution Volunteers Needed: All Souls Parish Hosts Second Harvest Food Bank

South San Francisco, Ca  June 12, 2023  Submitted by Sandra Firpo

You are needed to battle hunger in South City!

1 in 5 people right here in our Bay Area go to bed hungry each night.

No one should have to choose between paying for prescription medicine, OR the bills, OR putting food on the table.

Imagine the amount of stress that causes in homes all throughout our neighborhoods!

But, by giving just a few hours a few times a year, YOU can combat hunger, and help neighbors breathe a bit easier.

Once a month, the parish of All Souls Parish holds a food distribution made possible through a partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank.  We provide free groceries to over 300 local households!!

Volunteers are needed to set up the groceries into bags and boxes, direct traffic, check in guests, and load groceries into cars.

You pick the date that works best for you.  Our food distributions at All Souls are on Saturdays, once a month.  It’s a great activity to do as a family!!  It’s a great activity to do with your club!  It’s a great activity if you’re looking for school community service hours!

We’re currently looking for volunteers for July and August.

I want to thank all of you who have come out to help us with our Food Distribution, without you this is not possible. We distribute every 3rd Saturday of the month (subject to change during the months of November and December) and would love to see you, because without Volunteers like you this is not possible.

Thank you

My apologies; the distribution is on the 4th Saturday of each month, not the 3rd Sunday.
