SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR MAIL THEFT, DRUGS, PARAPHERNALIA, AND BURGLARY TOOLS: Yesterday, Officers responded to the Buri Buri neighborhood on a report of a mail theft in progress. Officers quickly arrived and located the suspect nearby with mail from two different addresses that did not belong to him. The suspect was on probation for prior burglary charges and a search of his property revealed drugs, a pipe, and a burglary tool. The suspect also had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest for burglary. Thank you to our residents for seeing something and saying something and to our Officers for apprehending this suspect. Great teamwork by all those involved!!

GUN ARREST: On Friday night, our Criminal Interdiction Team was assigned to the County’s Gang Task Force when they conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver was in possession of a loaded 9mm “ghost gun.” The driver was placed under arrest and booked at the main jail. Another illegal gun off the street!! Thank you to our Criminal Interdiction Team for a job well done!!

FIREARM AND EXTENDED MAGAZINE ARREST: Last night, Officers contacted two individuals during a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Susie Way and Sandra Court. During the contact, a search of the vehicle was conducted and an unregistered .40 caliber Glock firearm with an extended 28-round magazine was located. Both occupants were placed under arrest for possession of a firearm and booked at the main jail. One of the occupants was prohibited from possessing firearms and/or ammunition due to being a restrained person in a valid restraining order.
We just love this type of great proactive work by our Officers. Keep it up!!
