August 30, 2023

DUI & ILLEGAL ASSAULT RIFLE ARREST – This afternoon one of our alert dayshift officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of northbound Highway 101 and Sierra Point Parkway after observing a vehicle driving erratically. Upon contact with the 59 year old female driver from San Francisco, she exhibited several signs of being under the influence of alcohol. A search of the vehicle revealed an illegally possessed assault rifle, ammunition, and brass knuckles. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the San Mateo County jail.
Great self initiated police work that lead to removing a dangerous impaired driver and an illegal assault rifle from the streets!

August 29, 2023

ARREST / STOLEN VEHICLE – On Sunday evening our officers located a stolen vehicle traveling in the area of Sister Cities Boulevard and Airport Boulevard. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on northbound Highway 101 at Third Street and the 44 year old male driver from San Francisco was subsequently arrested without incident.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY / RESISTING ARREST – This morning our officers responded to the area of Shasta Court and Yosemite Drive on the report of a bicycle theft. Upon their arrival they located and contacted the 29 year old male suspect from San Francisco, who ignored several lawful commands to stop walking away from officers. The male suspect also actively resisted officers, but they were able to successfully detain him without any injuries.
Further investigation revealed the suspect entered an unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Mariposa Drive and placed his bicycle into the vehicle. He then removed his bicycle from the vehicle and then stole several items from the vehicle in the process.
The suspect was found to be in possession of the stolen property which was later returned to the victim. The suspect subsequently arrested for resisting arrest and possession of stolen property and was transported to the San Mateo County Main Jail.
