SERIAL BURGLAR ARREST: This past Wednesday, Officers responded to a grocery store on the 10 block of Chestnut Avenue on a report of a burglary in progress. The suspect, 27 year old male from Concord, forced entry into a locked office. Our Officers arrived on scene in less than a minute while he was still in the office. Once the suspect exited the office, he immediately attempted to flee on foot through the rear of the store. Officers initiated a short foot pursuit but the suspect was apprehended quickly.
We discovered the suspect had 18, yes EIGHTEEN, warrants out for his arrest from numerous counties in California and Nevada. The warrants were mostly for burglary and theft related charges. Great teamwork by all the Officers involved by capturing this wanted fugitive and serial burglar.

During the confrontation, the suspect struck one of the victims and pressed the firearm against the other victim’s head preventing them from leaving. The suspect then fled the area with stolen property from the two victims. During their investigation, Officers were able to positively identify the suspect and his vehicle. Detectives located the suspect and his vehicle in Daly City and arrested him after a short foot pursuit. The victim’s property and the firearm were located after conducting a search at his residence, and the suspect was booked at the main jail for numerous felony charges.
Thank you to our Officers, the Criminal Interdiction Unit, and our Criminal Investigations Bureau for their great teamwork and coordination to solve this case and to safely apprehend an armed and dangerous criminal.
