Calling Secret Santas: Donate a New Gift for SSFUSD Students in the REAL Program

South San Francisco, CA  November 27, 2023 by Sheri Boles

From the City of South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department:
The Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Enrichment Services Program is seeking donations of new items for Santa’s Workshop, which is open to students in the REAL (Recreation, Enrichment and Learning) Program at Los Cerritos and Martin Elementary Schools. Santa’s Workshop is an annual event that allows children to come and select gifts for all family members in their household and have them wrapped by Santa’s helpers at no cost to the children or their families.

We are asking for donations of NEW items only. That Kris Kringle gift you put in the back of your closet, the pretty hand soap you bought and never used, a gift your child received and never opened – we will accept all of these and more (socks, gloves, scarves, stuffed animals, baby items, jewelry, books, toys, etc.) the only thing we ask is that items are new – not used.

Donations can be dropped off at the Joseph Fernekes Recreation Building (781 Tennis Drive) or we can pick up locally. We will be accepting items until December 7, 2023
