ARREST FOR STOLEN VEHICLE, EVADING AND LOST PROPERTY – This past Tuesday, our Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the area of Sister Cities Boulevard. At that same time, we received an alert from our cameras that the vehicle was in fact stolen. The driver immediately accelerated and started to flee. The driver entered a residential area where we discontinued the pursuit. We located the vehicle unoccupied but saw the driver a short distance away attempting to flee on foot. Our Officers chased after the driver and eventually caught up to him and took him safely into custody. The driver also had in his possession several credit cards that did not belong to him. The driver now faces several charges and was booked at the jail. Great teamwork by all the Officers involved. We just love your proactive work!!
