At approximately 1:15 p.m., southbound train #240 fatally struck a person in Brisbane. Emergency personnel from police and fire are on-scene. There are 120 passengers onboard #240, with no other reported injuries. Trains are currently holding in the incident area.

At approximately 1:15 p.m., southbound train #240 fatally struck a person in Brisbane on main track #4. Emergency personnel from police and fire are on-scene. There were 120 passengers onboard #240, with no other reported injuries. The following is a list of events that followed today’s incident:
- @2:04 p.m. – Transit Police release main track #3 for train movement at maximum authorized speed
- @2:19 p.m. – Transit Police release #240 and all track s for maximum speed
The Transit Police, who patrols the Caltrain corridor, is investigating today’s fatal incident. The final cause of death and identification of the individual will be determined by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office. No matter what the circumstances, it is always regrettable when a life is lost. Caltrain reminds everyone to be safe around train tracks.
