DUI COLLISION AND ARREST: Early yesterday morning, we responded to a solo vehicle collision on Junipero Serra Boulevard near Hickey Boulevard. Officers noticed the vehicle sustained major damage, was facing the wrong way and blocking the lane of traffic. With the assistance of the Colma Police Department, Officers located the suspect driver hiding behind a tree nearby. The suspect was intoxicated, driving on a suspended license and already had a prior DUI conviction. The suspect was placed under arrest for DUI and also had warrants out for his arrest. The investigation revealed the suspect lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road and struck a guardrail. Thankfully no one was hurt. With the holiday season fast approaching, this is a reminder to Don’t Drink and Drive!!
Thank you to our weekend Graveyard Officers and Colma PD for your assistance!!

17 YEAR OLD JUVENILE ARRESTED WITH A STOLEN FIREARM AND 15 ROUND MAGAZINE: Last night our Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Airport Boulevard and Miller Avenue. The driver was on probation with search and seizure and had prior firearm related arrests. The vehicle was occupied by three other juveniles. Our Officers conducted a pat search of one of the rear passengers (17 year old juvenile) and located a firearm that was loaded with a 15 round magazine concealed in his front jacket pocket. The Officers determined the firearm was stolen out Texas. The juvenile was placed under arrest and booked at Hillcrest.
Excellent job by our Criminal Interdiction Unit for their proactive work and preventing violent crime from occurring in our great city.
