Are you interested in traveling to Japan? Sister Cities Group leads the way

South San Francisco, CA     March 20, 2014

The South San Francisco Sister Cities Committee  is once again forming a group for some international travel. This upcoming excurison will be a 10 day trip to Japan in October. Frank McAuley, President of the SSF Sister City Committee has met with  a representative from Nippon Travel Agency (NTA) and they have come up with a very unique proposal. Kishiwada is our Sister City in Japan and both of our groups are very active in this international relationship.

Travel dates would be October 9 through October 19 and would include 3 days in Tokyo,3 days in Kyoto, and 3 days in Kishiwada which is our Sister City. The group would be in Kishiwada during their annual Danjiri Festival. The trip cost would include airfare from San Francisco to Osaka and from Tokyo back to San Francisco. It would include ground transportation and 9 nights in hotels, (10th night will be spent flying). All breakfasts will be at the hotels. Other meals will be on your own. It will include a one day guided tour of Kyoto and a one day guided tour of Tokyo.

Final cost will be determined by the number of travelers and if you are traveling single or double. The group is  trying to keep the cost around $2,700 per person traveling double.
Thrusday March 21 at 7pm there will be a representative from NTA at the Sister City Meeting at the MSB (33 Arroyo Drive) to  meet with prospective travelers and answer questions. Membership in the Sister Cities Community is required and is only$5 for students or family at $20 per year, see the application below.
