CalWater Signals Water OK to Drink: NO CONTAMINATION

South San Francisco, CA   June 3, 2017 Submitted by California Water Service, Company INC

UPDATED 6/3/17 4:20 p.m.

On Friday, June 2, Sunshine Gardens customers were advised to not drink the water and use bottled water for drinking and cooking due to a security breach at a tank that serves this area. Water quality test results have confirmed that water quality was NOT affected, and it is safe to resume normal water use.

We advised our customers to take this precautionary measure out of an abundance of caution because protecting your health and safety is our highest priority.

We apologize again for the inconvenience and are conducting a full investigation with the State’s Division of Drinking Water and local law enforcement to ensure the water supply remains safe for our customers.

Everything South City would like to acknowledge the continued outreach done by Calwater to the residents of South San Francisco during this unfortunate situation that caused us all inconveniences. We do appreciate the precautionary measures put in place to ensure our drinking water remains of the highest quality possible.
