The South San Francisco Unified School District offers a program for special needs students as they make the transition from High School to the community and work force. The Transitional Partnership Program helps graduating students gain work experience and confidence, while learning many life skills including shopping and cooking. Our own South City Chef Ava Marie, and blogger on The Autistic Chef,  was invited to instruct a cooking class.  “I had a great day teaching a private cooking event for at Baden High School for the students in the Transitional Program. Everyone was very sweet and cool.” Chef Ava said. “And thanks to Maryanne and staff for the huge welcome and I look forward to doing this again soon!”

From the smiles on the students faces it is easy to tell they also have a great day of learning! For more recipes from Chef Ava, CLICK HERE  For more information on the SSFUSD Transitional Program CLICK HERE
