Isn’t it a conflict of interest that she with be CEO and on the City Council??? Shouldn’t she resign from the city counsel if she wants that job? Tried to find the Chamber Bylaws on line without success.

We were thinking the same thing. This happened before when Jim Dotsman was Mayor and CEO of the chamber. There was a LOT of conflict with Oyster Point development and the potential WalMart on East Grand during the early 1990’s.

Once again another conflict of interest! The city should not be involved in the business side. Didn’t the Chamber learn lessons from having a former mayor running the chamber. The City will look after it’s interests over those of the local businesses. If it weren’t for the Downtown Merchants we would have a Walmart on East Grand. By Laws won’t be found online, even Board members don’t know or follow the Bylaws.

A wonderful choice in Liza, and Maria will at the same time be greatly missed, as she was one of the first to.welcome me to South San Francisco when I moved here. They are both great representatives of our wonderful city.
