Reminder: Series of Town Hall Meetings start April 28th

South San Francisco city leaders are holding Town Hall Meetings for the purpose of seeking input from residents regarding service priorities for the city. There will be a total of 6 Town Hall meetings in this series with each meeting covering a different area of interest including;

  • Police Department (crime trends, community programs, etc)
  • Parks and Recreation (input for the 5-10 year Master Plan)
  • Library (Development of new Library/Community Center and STEAM focused programs)

Below are the times, locations and subject for each town hall meeting.

When: Tue, Apr 28, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: 33 Arroyo Drive MSB

Chief of Police Jeff Azzopardi will lead this meeting, which will focus on changes in store for the Police Department.

Topics to be discussed include:
– Crime trends for the city, county and state
– Current community programs
– Police Department structure

 

When: Sat, May 2, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Where: Fernekes Building, Orange Memorial Park, 781 Tennis Drive

Library Director Valerie Sommer and Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Ranals will co-host this meeting, which will focus on plans for their departments.

Topics to be discussed include:
– Parks & Recreation Master Plan for the next 5 – 10 years
– Development of new Main Library/ community center
– STEAM (Science, technology, Engineering, Art and Math) -focused programs

 

When: Wed, May 6, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: UPDATE LOCATION CHANGED TO Monte Verde Elementary School 2551 St. Cloud Dr. San Bruno,

Chief of Police Jeff Azzopardi will lead this meeting, which will focus on changes in store for the Police Department.

Topics to be discussed include:
– Crime trends for the city, county and state
– Current community programs
– Police Department structure

 

When: Mon, May 11, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Where: Magnolia Center, 601 Grand Avenue, 3rd floor

Library Director Valerie Sommer and Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Ranals will co-host this meeting, which will focus on plans for their departments.

Topics to be discussed include:
– Parks & Recreation Master Plan for the next 5 – 10 years
– Development of new Main Library/ community center
– STEAM (Science, technology, Engineering, Art and Math) -focused programs

 

When: Mon, May 25, 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Where: Westborough Picnic Shelter

Library Director Valerie Sommer and Parks & Recreation Director Sharon Ranals will co-host this meeting, which will focus on plans for their departments.

Topics to be discussed include:
– Parks & Recreation Master Plan for the next 5 – 10 years
– Development of new Main Library/ community center
– STEAM (Science, technology, Engineering, Art and Math) -focused programs

 

When: Mon, Jun 1, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Where: Morelos Hall, 209 Miller Ave

– Crime trends for the city, county and state
– Current community programs
– Police Department structure
