Improving Public Places Program Wins 1st Place
South San Francisco, CA June 14, 2013Congratulations to our Improving Public Places Program(IPP) for the 2 First Place Awards won at the San Mateo County Fair, winning $900!
The IPP consists of volunteers and city staff that take various areas of public property around town to beautify; Joann’s Triangle, Hillside Blvd @ Sister Cities, Arroyo @ Orange, Hillside at Grand, and other places around our city. This just in from our Parks & Rec Sharon Ranals:

‘If you have a chance please visit the Redwood Expo at the San Mateo County Fair. Improving Public Places is represented with two exhibits:
· Restoring our County’s Natural Landscape Display – *Orange Memorial Park Sculpture & Native Garden areas *Community Landscape Display – JoAnne’s Triangle area
Both of the exhibits received FIRST PLACE, for a total cash prize of $900!
