SSFPD Media Release: Thefts From Elderly, Burglary, Credit Card Fraud

South San Francisco, CA   February 9, 2017    Submitted by SSFPD

Since November of last year, the subject pictured in this photograph has been victimizing the senior community by committing multiple wallet thefts at locations in the El Camino corridor in South San Francisco and other neighboring cities in the Peninsula. The subject contacts her victims, usually senior female elderly victims, and gains their attention. Once she has their attention and refocuses their line of sight on something else, the suspect places her hands into the victim’s purses and takes their wallets. Aside from cash and other valuables, the suspect uses the victim’s credit cards at department and convenience stores throughout the Peninsula.

This subject specifically targets elderly female victims, so please be aware of your surroundings and do not leave purses or other valuables unattended, especially if purses are left in shopping carts, which this subject has an affinity for targeting. The subject has not been identified or captured and continues her crime spree and continues to target elderly female victims.

If you recognize the suspect or have any suspect information please contact the South San Francisco Police Department at 650-877-8900 or at the anonymous tip line 650-952-2244.
