Easy, she raised our child as a single mother for 26 years (I never knew since it was assumed that someone else was the father). Our girl is the most amazing young woman full of compassion (a dog AND cat lover!) who is hoping to go into animal sciences at the Univ. of Colorado next year. Her mother has sacrificed everything for all these years and we’ve just recently reconnected — never say too late because some things never change — and now we are long distancing again.

My Valentine deserves my gift(s) because he da MAN! Seriously, though, for nearly 20 years he has loved me through thick and thin (literally!), sickness (and surgeries and broken bones and lunacy) and health, good times and soul-crushingly bad ones. Even when I’m not very LIKEable at all, he still loves me and is committed to me. Even at [mumblemumble] years old, he still makes my heart flutter.

My BF works his butt off at 56 yrs. old needs 2 complete knee replacements and can barely walk, yet he gets up every day to run his company( painter) and get on ladders, paint, stairs, and demo work he does this not only because he has to sadly, but to help me as well. I am injured , cant work and he helps me with bills, and food. My fence was demolished in the storm, I came home one day, and he had been here on his knee’s rebuilding a fence for MY safety and comfort. He runs himself into the ground daily with no complaining or thinking of himself, and can barely move each day. Nothing but respect and love for this man.Due to finances he is unable to take off work and put money aside to do his surgery, can’t take the time off, needs to have $ put away so he can do his surgery and recuperate, yet there is nothing he wouldn’t do to help me and never complains for himself. He is in such pain, and by end of day can barely walk or stand on his legs..LOVE, Actions speak louder than words.

My Valentine has been shopping at Grocery Outlet through good times and bad – as unemployed it was a life saver and as employed it is a great way to save money. Lots of hardship and depression, but Grocery Outlet was always there with its kind workers and great buys!

My Valentine is my husband, even though we’ve been married a long time he still treats me like a queen, says how much he loves me & leaves me notes. He’s been with me through cancer & radiation recently, and I know I can count on him for anything.
