BioMed Realty has announced a new development in South San Francisco to be located on Gateway Blvd at Oyster Point Blvd. Two buildings, offering 550,000sf of space each, is being marketed as follows:

Anchoring the entrance to South San Francisco, Gateway of Pacific is a new landmark, responsive to local climate, featuring a flexible and stimulating work environment in highly sustainable setting. The project will be constructed to the highest institutional standards, state-of-the-art building systems, a high-end amenity center, bay and mountain views, and premier office and lab build-outs. The project is located on the most visible corner of South San Francisco – the biotechnology capital of the world.

The City of South San Francisco reports this is a 1.2 million sq. ft. biotech campus being planned by BioMed Realty. BioMed is currently seeking tenants and hopes to build the campus over the next 5 years. BioMed offers the rendering below of what the campus may look like.
