On Friday January 25, 2013, at just before noon, a Daly City woman was robbed by an unknown suspect as she left her work to make a bank deposit.
The female victim (name withheld by request) had just left work and approached her parked car. When she arrived at the driver’s door, an unidentified Hispanic suspect grabbed the employee’s purse from behind. The employee held onto her purse, so the suspect demanded, “Give me your purse or I’ll shoot you.” The victim complied. The suspect fled with the purse and got into a dark-colored 4-door sedan, which was waiting nearby and driven by another suspect. No firearm was seen. The victim was uninjured.
The vehicle fled east on Produce Avenue and south onto INterstate 101. The victim’s purse held US currency and checks made payable to her employer, as well as other personal belongings.
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, 5’6″, 200 lbs, medium complexion, last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Suspect #2 is only described as a male subject.
The suspect vehicle was found abandoned on the 100 block of West Harris Avenue approximately 90 minutes after the incident. Evidence of the robbery was found inside the vehicle, which was also an unreported stolen vehicle out of Redwood City.
