On Saturday February 16 in the early evening 17 year old Aubriana Campbell was crossing in the intersection of West Orange Avenue and C Street when she was hit by a 4 door silver colored car. Campbell suffered minor injuries to her right leg. The driver drove down the street, parked, and walked up to see if Campbell was OK and said she was sorry. Campbell, who was shaken up, was reported to ask the woman to wait a moment while her boyfriend helped her rest on the curb. The woman, described as in her 50’s or 60’s had white or blond hair quickly returned to her car and drove off as soon as sirens were heard.
Campbell works at The Grocery Outlet on Hickey and is a valued employee and a good friend to many. Police are treating this as a hit and run and are seeking the driver of the car. We need to find this person so if anyone saw anything Saturday night around 6:30 near Orange Ave intersection please give the Police Department a call. You can use the anonymous tip line 650-952-2244.
Did they ever find the person that did this and how is the girl doing?
Hi Linda, The young lady is said to be healing fine and no recovery of the person who hit her, stopped and left. Thanks. -ESC
