Congratulations to the Rays who overcame a tough loss in the opening game against a very tough Phillies team. In a defensive game lasting 8 innings the Rays gave up four runs in the last inning to fall 6 to 2 in the best of three series. Next day the Rays rebounded with a 7 to 3 win to pull even with the Phillies at a win apiece. In the nightcap the Rays pulled out a thrilling 5 to 4 win to capture the 2013 Mustang championship.

Congratulations to the Angels who defeated the Giants this morning to win the 2013 Pinto league championship with a 10 to 2 win. Timely hitting and good defense keyed the Angels win.
