Sexual Assault on Grand & Linden 5:30am

South San Francisco, CA June 26, 2013

Everything South City received a message from one of our neighbors with this warning although a police media bulletin has not yet been released by SSFPD.  Below is what we have shared on our Facebook page:

**WARNING** Please share!!
Cathy Robles posted this information – please help get the word out and be extra aware of your surroundings – for yourself and for others. ESC extends our thoughts to the friend who was attacked.
“Please share with SSF residents:

A friend of mind informed me that her friend was sexually assaulted yesterday morning around 5:30-5:45am while jogging on Grand & Spruce with her dog. She did have mace but it happened so fast & was attacked from behind. The suspect was described as a tall, slender Latino male with a beanie. The incident was reported to SSF police but I want the community to be aware of this so they can take precautions. Thanks for sharing!”

Mark Thaler Damn I can’t believe it. How awful and I hope she’s okay. That can be a very traumatic experience. Happened to me when I was 19 in San Mateo, not a pleasant one.

Angie Harris-Robinson Very sad and scary. Hope she is ok. And hope they catch the bastard.

Dorothy Tupitza Gaoiran The trails are becoming increasingly dangerous for women. You should get one of these if you’re going to be out by yourself: http://www.divaprodefense.com/catalog/item/8513580/9361889.htm

Moserod OSe I was told to carry keys with the sharp ends protruding out, and to not be afraid to aim for the eyes or anywhere on face.

Marizela Avila The other day I was jogging with my dog on spruce and some weirdo on a bike passing me leaned over and whispered in my ear. I felt sick and thought he was some sort of sicko. My dog would have bit him had he tried to lay a hand on me. Sickos.

Coleone Stabillio People like that need to fuckim die slow painful agonizing deaths. My daughters mean the world to me and to know that they will grow with sickos around the world like that makes me want to go vigilante and hunt down those perverts.

Anna Cortez I was a resident of SSF, and now that am far away I enjoy to see &· read the posts on fb about the city I love , unfortunately this kind of incidents that happens makes my hart overwhelmed with sadness and wonder how can a human being turns to a beast!!!! Hope the young lady be all right, and God heals her emotionally and physically, in the name of our Lord Jesus I pray. AMEN!

Mini Gaggero I actually know this person. She is doing okay and is thankful for all the prayers and well wishes all have expressed. She actually fought back against the sick bastard. She was able to knee him and even chased him screaming like a mad woman, hoping to call attention to the situation. Please be aware of everything surrounding you. There are some sickos out there and unfortunately, they are everywhere.

Carole Brady-Duport I am glad she is OK and that she fought back! I know it may not make a difference, but what kind of dog did she have? I walk with dogs and always thought I was completely safe. Now, I’m not so sure.

Nancy Ann Earhart Unless you have a dog that will attack, never run alone. EVER!
