Buri Buri School Sends Out Alert

South San Francisco, CA     January 10, 2014ALERT sign

URGENT HEADS UP!! Buri Buri School believed it was important to send out this notice to parents. We are also sharing so all parents can remind kids to be aware of suspicious behavior (w/o scaring them) no matter what school they may attend.

And also to put on notice ANYONE WHO MIGHT ATTEMPT WRONG DOING TO KNOW – YOU ARE BEING WATCHED!! LEAVE OUR KIDS (and our schools) ALONE!!

Dear Buri Buri Parents,

We have been informed that at approximately 10:45 A.M. this morning, an unidentified man was standing at the top of the stairs near the Buri Buri basketball courts. It was reported that the man pointed and gestured at students. As school staff approached the individual, he left the area.

School staff notified the administration immediately and South San Francisco Police are investigating the matter. No students were harmed and the man remained off campus.

The man is described as Latino in his mid-thirties to forties, with a medium build and a thin mustache. He was wearing a tan trench coat and a blue bag.

We ask that parents and guardians take this opportunity to remind their students to be cautious of strangers and to report any suspicious activity or any interactions that make them uncomfortable.

Thank You.

Principal Victoria Dye

UPDATE:

Some have asked why there are no cameras as they believe this would be a good security resource. The next School Board Meeting is Thursday January 15, 2014 7pm at the SSFUSD Office at South City High.  Click HERE for more info

That outfit is suspicious. He’s either homeless or one of those weird guys who get naked under his trench coat. Things that make you go hmmm.
