SamTrans To Open Its Doors To The Public On Feb. 22
What: SamTrans is hosting an open house on Feb. 22 to offer customers and the public a behind–the-scenes look at how service is delivered.
The event will begin at the SamTrans headquarters in San Carlos, where attendees can check out employment opportunities, get transit information, and meet Transit Police Officers and the K-9 Unit. From there, SamTrans’ new hybrid buses will carry passengers on a short trip to the agency’s South Base facility. At the facility, attendees will receive a guided tour, featuring details on bus dispatching and a demonstration of vehicle cleaning and maintenance activities. There will be lots of family-friendly fun, including free popcorn and lemonade.
Free parking is available at the SamTrans district headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Avenue in San Carlos. Every 20 minutes, a hybrid bus will carry passengers on a short trip from the district headquarters to the South Base facility.
When: Saturday, February 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
