On April 22nd, 2014 at about 1:15 am, South San Francisco Police Officers spotted a vehicle driving recklessly on Westborough Blvd near Gellert Blvd in South San Francisco. The vehicle lost control and struck a curb. When police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle it fled onto the northbound Highway 280 on-ramp, As the vehicle drove onto the freeway on-ramp, it crashed into some landscaping along the side of the road and became disabled. The driver, a 16 year old juvenile, was immediately arrested without incident. The investigation showed the juvenile was under the influence of prescription medication and marijuana at the time of the incident. The juvenile was found to be both unlicensed and on probation, therefore he was booked at the Hillcrest Juvenile detention
facility for the following charges: 2800. l (a) eve, 23152(e) eve, 12500(a) eve and 777(a)(l) W&I.
