Our partners take care of you. We’re taking care of them.

Nearly half of Americans who begin college today will not actually finish, largely due to skyrocketing costs and work/life balance. We know more than 70% of our U.S. partners (employees) are students or aspiring students. We want to help.

Supporting our partners’ ambitions is the very best investment Starbucks can make. Read more about what investing in our partners personally means to CEO Howard Schultz.

Introducing the Starbucks College Achievement Plan

Starbucks believes in the promise and pursuit of the American Dream. This fall, we’re making it possible for thousands of part- and full-time U.S. partners to complete a college degree. In a first of its kind collaboration with Arizona State University, we’re offering partners the opportunity to finish their bachelor’s degree with full tuition reimbursement. Partners may choose from 40 undergraduate degree programs through ASU’s research driven and top-ranked program, delivered online.

How it Works

We’re proud to help thousands of our partners build a bright future—whether they aspire to build a career at Starbucks, or beyond.

All benefits–eligible partners who are based in the U.S., working in our support centers, plants or at any of our company-operated stores (including Teavana, La Boulange, Evolution Fresh and Seattle’s Best Coffee stores), and do not yet have a bachelor’s degree can apply. Partners admitted as a junior or senior, according to ASU’s admission requirements, will earn full tuition reimbursement for each year of coursework they complete toward a bachelor’s degree. Freshmen and sophomores will receive a partial scholarship and need-based financial aid toward the foundational work of completing their degree. Partners will have no commitment to remain at Starbucks past graduation.

We know that money is not the only barrier to getting a college education. That’s why we’ve designed this program to ensure that our partners receive a personal level of support, custom-built for each partner, including a dedicated enrollment coach, financial aid counselor and academic advisor. Above all, we want our partners to have the support they need to graduate from college.

Partners, explore the Starbucks College Achievement Plan to decide if this program is right for you.
