On July 17,2014 at approximately 10:55 p.m., a suspicious male subject dressed in black, later identified as Xavier Johnson, a 20 year old unemployed South San Francisco resident, was seen looking into vehicles and hiding in the bushes near the 700 block of Stonegate Drive. A resident reported Johnson matched the description of a vehicle burglary suspect from earlier in the week in the same neighborhood. Police Officers responded to the area and established a perimeter. Shortly after, Johnson was detained after running from the scene. During the investigation, it was determined Johnson was in possession of tools commonly used in commission of burglary related crimes. The resident was able to confirm Johnson was in fact the same subject he had seen earlier in the week suspected of breaking in to a vehicle. It was later discovered Johnson was also in possession of stolen property from the vehicle burglary that occurred earlier in the week.Johnson was placed under arrest for burglary, prowling, and resisting arrest. Booking status on $35,000 bond.
