‘On my way to work about a month ago, about to cross Grand Ave, when I spotted these two guys in cowboy hats having their morning coffee on a bench. I made a quick decision (and missed my light) and pulled over to snap this photo (through my dirty car window and with my cell phone). It was a beautiful morning and just so picturesque…’

Our neighbors responded with memories:

Deborah Mcgrath Nice

Casey Kay After church shananagains

Alicia Mora-Reyes Our grandpa would’ve been there wearing his tejana! Victoria Mora

Aurora Fregoso Peña What a beautiful picture

Ava Jalapeno Popper Romero this photo totally reminds me of my longtime neighborhood best friend Jack Tidwell and one of his nephews visiting from texas from his nephew’s Moblie Trailer . he was the best California texas cowboy of south city, I still miss him everyday and when I go out in public places such as bus stops to catch samtrans bus his spirit leaves me pennies and he lets me know he is having a jolly good time in heaven! he gave me the best cooking tips on how to cook with jalapenos, he likes them with seeds in them, but if you want to tone down the spice level he suggest to use gloves and clean the seeds out when making jalapenos. so got a lot of chili pepper cooking from him. and this photo got me to bring back some good ole memories. so ESC Local Fan, good catch and you really brought me back to tears and happy cowgirl memories it brings me back! chef Ava
