SamTrans to Offer Free Service on New Year’s Eve; Sunday Schedule on New Year’s Day
Late-night revelers can rely on SamTrans for free transportation this New Year’s Eve.
Starting at 8 p.m. and lasting until 5 a.m., SamTrans will allow passengers to board free of charge on all bus lines, as a way to encourage party-goers to leave their cars at home. Redi-Wheels, the San Mateo County Transit District’s paratransit service provider, also will offer free rides between those hours.
On the day of New Year’s Eve, SamTrans will operate on a regular, non-school day service. On New Year’s Day, SamTrans will operate on a Sunday schedule.
