On Christmas Eve at approximately 11:30 PM, South San Francisco Police Officers were investigating a hit and run traffic collision on the 600 block of Spruce Avenue in South San Francisco. While conducting the investigating, officers noticed a white two door vehicle traveling westbound towards them at a high rate of speed. Officers motioned for the vehicle to stop, but the driver continued towards them striking one of the officers with the vehicle. The officer was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries and was released early Christmas morning.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white, two door, Honda Accord, with a broken passenger side mirror (California license plate number 6AOH563).
