South San Francisco, CA April 14, 2014 Submitted by John Horgan SSFUSD
The South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent Alejandro Hogan have agreed that the Superintendent will be released from all administrative duties as of April 14.
The decision was made on April 13 at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees.
In a prepared statement, the trustees said: “The Board of Trustees and Superintendent Alejandro Hogan
have mutually agreed that his responsibilities as Superintendent will transition today, April 14.
“The Board and Superintendent are taking this action for a number of reasons, including to ensure consistency of leadership at the District Office and throughout the District and to allow the Superintendent to use his accumulated vacation and to attend to personal needs. “The District again thanks the Superintendent for his services.”
Last month, the Superintendent announced his resignation, effective at the end of the 2014-15 school year. The Superintendent’s duties will be shared on an interim basis by Dr. Jacqueline McEvoy, Associate Superintendent for Human Resources/Student Services, and Dr. Shawnterra Moore, Associate Superintendent for Educational Services/Categorical Programs.
