As part of their weed abatement program, PGE utilizes goats on some of the easements which has proven to be a fun and educational sight for neighbors. These goats are currently on the hill that serves as a PGE easement between Randolph and Linden, bordered by North Spruce.

Angie Granera says “I love seeing the city using goats to graze on the dry grass. I had a great teaching moment with my kids as we saw the goats and “Shepard” herding them. Thanks!”

Another neighbor  shares “These mountain goats escaped their fenced area and got into several south city resident’s yards! It was pretty hilarious. The neighbors in the areas were yelling trying to corral the rest of the goats back to the gated area. Not something you see everyday in south city! Go`ats gone wild”

I am so very glad to see the goats on “the hill”! If you notice we havne’t had any major fires lately?
A few years back a goat company (I don’t know if same ones) had a tragic accident transporting them and they lost many of these wonderful creatures.
This is such a awesome example of many working with nature. I really love it. Kudos to the city council or whomever approved this b/c it is the SMART and environmentally thing to do.
I think its just totally AWESOME!
