On 06/03/2015 at approximately 11:06 pm, Officers of the South San Francisco Police Department responded on the report of gunshots heard in the area of the 1500 block of El Camino Real in South San Francisco. While responding to the area, it was reported that a 39 year old San Francisco resident had been shot in the leg while in the parking lot of the complex. Officers quickly set up a perimeter and secured the scene to allow Paramedics and Fire personnel to tend to the victim. The victim was later transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Residents in the area described hearing four loud bangs and one witness saw a newer model vehicle fleeing the area from a neighboring street at a high rate of speed. The victim described the suspect as a dark skinned black male, 5’07” – 5’08” in height, average build and last seen wearing a grey or black hooded sweatshirt. The victim stated that there was no confrontation with the suspect prior to the shooting.
