Update on the strong armed robbery:
On Saturday September 5, 2015 at about 0544 hours, a strong-arm robbery occurred on the 200 block of Kenwood Drive. The victim was robbed of his cellular telephone. As the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle, he was involved in two separate hit & run collisions in the nearby area. All three incidents were documented on a previous press release dated 09-05-15 .
Later that morning, on September 5th, 2015 at about 0833 hours, the suspect returned to the scene of one of the hit & run collisions on Greenwood Drive. An alert neighbor called the police, who quickly responded to the scene and detained a suspect. The suspect was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The subsequent police investigation resulted in the suspect, 22 year-old Oscar Cabrera Jr. of Burlingame, being positively identified as the suspect from the robbery and at least one of the hit & run traffic collisions.
Cabrera Jr. was arrested for robbery, criminal threats, fleeing the scene of a traffic collision, and for driving under the influence of alcohol. Cabrera Jr. was booked at the San Mateo County main jail.
