Second Harvest Food Bank may soon expand a food distribution program currently provided at Baden High School. Representatives from Second Harvest presented their proposal to the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees on Oct. 22. Currently, Second Harvest, utilizing a van, operates a mobile food distribution effort twice a month at Baden, located at 825 Southwood Drive. The latest plan would involve an expanded operation that would include either a food pantry on the Baden campus, which houses the District’s adult and continuation schools, or increased deliveries of food on a scheduled basis. The Trustees, who viewed the ideas favorably, decided to have the proposal placed on a future agenda for action. Second Harvest serves needy populations in both San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
